Dr. Anderson understands that coming to the dentist can be scary for some people. He strives to change that! He is passionate about earning the trust of apprehensive patients and teaching them how dentistry is vital to the overall health of the body. Nothing makes him happier than showing a patient how easy it can be to take care of their teeth when they partner with the right dentist. He looks forward to meeting you, and you can learn more about him by reading on below.

Where Did You Study Dentistry?

Born in Houston, Dr. Anderson eventually moved to Flower Mound and went on to graduate from Abilene Christian University, earning a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry with a minor in business administration. He then made his way back to Houston to complete his dental degree at the University of Texas School of Dentistry. Today, he’s a proud member of the team at Thrive Dental and Orthodontics, and he loves working in an environment where he knows a patients’ needs always come first.

What Do You Like Most About A Dentist?

For Dr. Anderson, it’s the opportunity to help a patient improve both their health and appearance at the same time. Very few professions allow you to do this while also working one-on-one with people every day. He also likes showing fearful patients that dental care can be comfortable and fulfilling, which can completely change someone’s life in the long run.

What Do You Like to Do Outside of the Dental Office?

Dr. Anderson actually sang tenor in an acapella group and played keyboard for several student-formed bands while in college, and he still enjoys making music today! It’s his dream to write songs that are sung in his church someday. During his quieter moments, he loves working out, biking outside, hanging out with his roommates, and enjoying Blue Bell cookies & cream ice cream! He also likes watching interesting documentaries on Netflix and spending time with his family. In the future, he hopes to have a woodshop where he restores musical instruments!
