Hi! I’m Dr. Anderson and I am a general dentist at Thrive Dental and Orthodontics. I was born in Houston, TX, where I spent most of my childhood learning to play the piano, building forts in the woods, and playing basketball with neighborhood kids. Later in life, I moved to Flower Mound, TX where I graduated from Flower Mound High School and went on to Abilene Christian University (scratch ‘em cats) to earn a Bachelor’s Degree in Biochemistry and a minor in Business Administration. In college, I sang tenor in an acapella group and played keys/sang for several student-formed bands. I then went back to Houston where I completed my Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the University of Texas School of Dentistry. God then brought me back full-circle to the Dallas area to practice dentistry! He has blessed me with the ability to do what I love in a working environment where I can rest easy knowing my values aren’t compromised.
Coming to the dentist can be scary for some people. I want to change that. I am passionate about earning the trust of apprehensive patients and teaching them how dentistry is vital to the overall health of the body. Problem solving and getting patients out of pain is very fulfilling to me! I am also passionate about music and leading worship. It’s my dream to be able to write songs that are sung in church someday. I also want to have a woodshop in my backyard someday where I can restore musical instruments!
There are many things that make me happy. God, my family, and my friends just to name a few. I also love working out, biking outside, hanging out with my roommates, and Blue Bell cookies & cream ice cream! I also like watching interesting documentaries on Netflix and spending time with my family.
