Dr. Nathan is our Board-Certified orthodontist, and he can’t wait to share his skills, his experience, and his genuine passion for dentistry with you during a first appointment. Keep reading below to learn more about him:
Born in Canada, Dr. Nathan earned his undergraduate degree at the head of his class and was also a star player on the basketball team, earning the Academic All Canadian award twice. He then chose to pursue his doctorate at the University of Southern California School of Dentistry, where he met his wife Dr. Christine Coughlin for the very first time. Upon graduating from USC, he was presented with several prestigious awards, including the “Outstanding Orthodontic Achievement Award” and the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Award. During his time at the school, he also chose to co-found the Student Professionalism and Ethics Club. This organization allowed students to openly discuss the ethics and general moral values surrounding dentistry.
In order to become a Diplomate of Orthodontics, Dr. Nathan chose to undergo years of additional advanced training. Today, he is proud to be one of the few orthodontists in the United States to achieve this distinction.
Dr. Nathan genuinely enjoys helping patients achieve smiles that are straighter, healthier, and more beautiful than ever before. His enthusiasm for the orthodontic field is truly contagious, and his strong work ethic makes this job a great fit for his personality. He looks forward to helping you achieve truly exceptional results.
When he isn’t busy at work, you can often find Dr. Nathan spending quality time with his loved ones, reading, traveling, playing basketball, and roughhousing with his beloved Golden Retriever. In the past, he’s also spent time working in disadvantaged areas and third world countries like Honduras, where he provides important dental care to people in need of it.
